Kudzu, Pueraria lobata, is a root native to Japan and China. The name is Japanese for vine. The plant is described in the Eastern tradition of natural remedies, where it has been used for a long time and is attributed many interesting properties. Among other things, it has been used for headaches and by women after menopause, which is believed to be due to its content of isoflavonoids.
